デヴィッド・プランプトン
David Plumpton

ノースヨークシャー生まれ。英国一流のダンス演奏者の１人。25年以上のキャリアの中で、多くの有名なダンサー、振付家、バレエ教師と仕事をしている。現在は、ノース・バレエのカンパニーとバレエ学校の両方のカンパニー・ピアニストで、他にノーザン・コンテンポラリー・ダンス・スクール、英国ロイヤル・バレエ・スクールのカリキュラムに協力している。

ダーシー・バッセル、ジョナサン・コープなどの多くの国際的なアーティストを仕事をしてきた。他にもデボラ・ブル、ダイム・バーレー・グレイ、ジリアン・リン、マガーライト・ポター、パトリシア・ルアン、D.TITT.D.E、マリオン・タイト、デイビッド・アシュモール、ダビット・ビントリー、サー・アンソニー・ダウエル、ウェイン・イーグリング、クリストファー・ゲーブル、ケビン・ヘーゲン、ニール・マクマホン、ダヴィッド・ニクソン、ウェイン・スリープなど。英国ロイヤル・バレエ、英国ロイヤル・バーミンガム・バレエ、スコティッシュ・バレエ、ニュー・アドベンチャーズ、ランバート・ダンス・カンパニー、Pheonixダンス・シアター、ニュー・イングリッシュ・コンテンポラリー・バレエ、マーク・モリス・ダンス・グループ、そして英国ロイヤル・バーミンガム・バレエとノーザン・バレエの教育プログラムで、伴奏したことがある。

TVでの仕事は、「マスター・クラス・ウィズ・ウェイン・スリープ」「マン・イン・タイツ」「ドリーム・ダンサー」などで活躍している。また、全幕バレエの「マッチ売りの少女」「雪の女王」「人魚姫」や、「マスター・クラス・ウィズ・ウェイン・スリープ」のテーマ曲を作曲した。

彼は、バレエ教師やプロのパフォーマー、そして野心のある生徒たちと仕事をするのに非常に関心があり、情熱を燃やす。最近では、「バレエ・クラスは楽しく刺激的で、あらゆる芸術的感情を越えることができる」という彼の信条を具現し、喧伝するためのバレエ・レッスン曲のCDをリリースしている。
